David died suddenly in Eastbourne, E. Sussex in July 2010.
David Grundy was born in Lancashire in 1934 and was educated at Thorne's House Grammar School Wakefield. He studied Piano, Organ and Composition at The Royal Academy of Music, where he graduated with a B.Mus degree (London) and organ/piano diplomas. He held organist posts at St Mary's Islington and at All Souls Langham Place W.1.
His teaching career took him to Kent and Oxfordshire, until he and his family moved to Shropshire in 1971.
Some of you may have known Mr David Hanton personally many more will have benefited from the decisions he made whilst Chairman of the Kingham Hill School Governors in the late 70s through to the early 90's.
Norwich Tutor and House Master 1981 – 1992
David Roberts was born in the Black Country in December 1940, the son of a manager in a local engineering company. He was educated at the George Dixon Grammar School in Edgbaston, Birmingham, the school named after a prominent 19th Century MP and Mayor of Birmingham who was a major proponent of "education for all". (The school also gave its name to one of television's most famous policemen – Dixon of Dock Green).
A well respected mathematics and science teacher at Kingham Hill School in the 1940s and 50s, David progressed to become House Master of Sheffield House.
