Dear John, Thanks for your mail of 28 July 2007. I was at Kingham from 1947 to 1956, firstly at Plymouth with Reg Durrant and his wife (Ruth, if I recall correctly) and then at Durham with Tom and Minnie Worrell.
John Woollan was the Warden, as the Headmaster was called in those days. Anyone would think it was a borstal! I can't say I remember Bill Parker, unfortunately.
As you are aware, rugby at Kingham Hill is our major sport and our success and development over the last two years has been huge. We have had 18 boys selected for Oxfordshire County trials this year and with the Rugby World Cup 2011 only a few months away rugby will soon be the main sporting focus in the world.
We are pleased to announce that there will be 1st XV and 2nd XV fixtures throughout the season next year and we have an exciting fixtures list planned. Please 'click read' more to find out all about these exciting events.
The KHA held the 124th Annual General Meeting on the 23rd of June 2012. There are a number of publications, photographs and a continuing debate as a result, we are going to bring these to you shortly.
Initially recent publications are shown here on the front page however over time these drop off as more recent news comes in. To see all the KHA publications please visit the KHA area here on School Days buy clicking the KHA link in the menu above, or by clicking this link: The KHA Area

John Addison's son Michael has informed us of the sad news that John Addison died on 5th January 2013 aged 85. He was at KHS from 1938-1944 and was in Norwich.
Having looked at a number of news stories in the press we have selected one from The Witney News by Laura Jones to reproduce here.
"PUPILS and staff at an Oxfordshire school are mourning a "one-off" teacher who was killed in a car crash as she drove to a birthday party.
More sad news with the death of Mr Pat Gimore a teacher on The Hill during the 70's and 80's.
We were very sorry to hear the sad news of the death of Tim Frohwein (Sheffield 1979-1983) over the weekend. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time.
We hope you will all, together with the School Days team, extend a warm welcome to Miss Harriet Atkinson who is joining the School Days website as a Publisher.
If you were not aware you may be interested to know that Harriet is the new development officer at Kingham Hill with a large part of her remit being to work with organisations such as the KHA, School Days and individual ex pupils of KHS.
