We kicked off with a general knowledge round, led by our evening’s Master of Ceremonies Ken Wingfield. This was followed by two rounds of questions compiled by pupils Callum and Christian.
The final round, on Kingham Hill School trivia and put together by Mike Kent, was keenly fought. However, the winning team, 321, took first prize with 59 points. As well as the Woyzak Gambaski trophy, the team also received a goody bag.
During the course of the evening, Ken Wingfield presented the school with a sound system, on behalf of the Kingham Hill Association. The nifty system, which includes two speakers, two microphones and a mike stand, packs away neatly into an easily convertible pod. The kind gift was accepted by Callum on behalf of the Performing Arts Department. Director of Performing Arts, Mr Norman McLachlan was delighted to receive the donation, stating the new piece of kit is a great addition to the department and will get lots of use over the coming years.
Many thanks to all who attended and to the quiz masters for their excellent questions.
