We then spent some time talking in groups about what kind of house we want Bradford to aim to be this year. Each discussion yielded three words to describe a good house, and some characteristics to avoid.
Next came a carousel of activities: Mr Rees inspired the teams to dream up a topic comedy sketch and Mr Lane set the challenge of building the biggest tower possible out of marshmallows and spaghetti - uncooked of course! Rob had invested in a man catapult and... well, check out the pictures. Mrs Lane helped the teams make a pudding each for the barbecue later in the day.
Later in the afternoon we found ourselves charging around in the Severn forest shooting laser guns. Finally we made it home to a barbecue with the famous marinated chicken and burgers, followed by the comforting puddings made by the boys' own fair hands.
All in all a purposeful and enjoyable day: well done and thanks to all who were involved!
