Across school life we have seen much success, with vibrant sports teams, including the most successful First XV for years (they beat Sibford 81-0), and girls’ hockey doing well as well, with the highlight being a 2-0 victory over my old school (very sweet). Academically our Upper Sixth is extremely strong, and all are hopeful of gaining places at good universities. The school continues to grow, with our largest ever roll, and we are ahead of schedule for our 2020 Vision in this regard.
Kingham Hill is very much on the up, and we have decided to revamp our uniform. The new uniform is very much about forging a strong identity, based on smartness and tradition. This will be introduced for September 2011, but alumni will be pleased to know that after consultation, we have decided to keep house ties (obviously an issue that you, particularly, feel strongly about!). The smart new uniform will be launched as part of our 125 celebrations.
Our major challenge now is to raise the money for the new building – please do continue to consider helping us in this, as we seek to continue the Founder’s Vision into the next 125 years.
Hannah and I wish you all a very happy and blessed Christmas
Nick Seward
