16:00 hrs
Depart The Hill, for those of us who consider ourselves to be Teddie Cooper’s boys, a visit to Kingham parish church to put some floral tributes on Teddies grave, also tidy it up a little. I have visited this now on three occasions over this past three years when in the area, and each time I have found no evidence whatsoever of any one giving his grave any attention.
I know personally from speaking with four other former pupils from my time on The Hill, that we love the Hill and will give it all the support we can. So I use this opportunity to remind all recipients’ of my letter now, that it is not the fabric of the buildings, nor the buildings themselves that made our school, but the staff and for some if not most of us the pupils we grew up with for those five years of our lives; the people that were like surrogate parents and the brothers, that some of us did not have. Hence the reason why we are keen to invite you to reunite now with us at this September event
