Welcome Back!

Clyde Is Back 2Clyde House

From September 2014 we will be welcoming back a familiar name to the Hill. Clyde House will return to the Hill following an absence of a number of years. Clyde is now our Junior Boys' Day House for boys aged between 11 and 14.

John Gibbons (KHS 2000-2007), in his promotional role with BMW, is tasked with the enviable job of promoting the new BMW i8 by driving it around Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire and photographing it in a variety of locations that fans of the new supercar are challenged to identify! We were delighted to welcome John to KHS earlier this week and to catch up with what he has been doing since his time on the Hill.

It is always good to keep in touch with Hillians. John was part of the US Pentathlon Team until very recently and is remembered for keeping his fencing coach, Mr Mulholland, very much on his toes!

Quiz PA system 2 smlOn Saturday 22 March, we were delighted to host the annual sixth form quiz night, welcoming old boys and current pupils for a great evening’s entertainment. With Mexican themed food, and cakes and treats supplied by the Eden Farm team, everyone was well feed by the time the quiz got underway.

Kingham Hill School Days

Keeping Alive Our Memories

As you may know I sit on the KHA committee both as an observer for School Days and as Vice-Chair of the KHA. In these very different roles I have been acutely aware of the KHS decision in relation to alumni affairs and closely involved with the KHA response to it.

Whilst School Days operates independently 'independence' does not mean isolation, together with some other benefits it allows prompt progress in a dynamic world. The School Days website has an established role in its own right but it also has an important function in communicating current news and the good work both organisations do, because of the value our community places on it. Without the direct support and collaboration of both KHS and the KHA School Days would not be able to offer quite as much.

New Newsletter 2013 MediumWe are delighted to introduce the new version of the School Days newsletter. Not only do we have a new look but, much like the website, every significant alumni organisation is now actively contributing to it.

If you did not receive your copy by email you can view it online right now by > clicking here < or you can subscribe by clicking the Subscribe Here below. Being registered on School Days automatically subscribes you to our newsletter. For the PDF version please > click here <
