Important changes to Kingham Hill Association
Since the beginning of 2012, the school has been referring to its former pupils as 'Kingham Hillians'. This term has been gradually introduced over the last couple of years, but with the KHA recently voting to work with the school, the KHA Committee and school both feel that now is the time for this change in terminology to be adopted by the wider former pupil community.

Following the resignation of Simon Howlett as Chairman of the Kingham Hill Association on 1 December 2013, a representation from the committee met with the Headmaster and Development Officer on 16 January to discuss the future of the KHA and its Centenary Trust Fund.
As stated at the AGM on 18 May 2013, the KHA accepts that the school has decided to take total responsibility for alumni relations and communications. Furthermore, the committee has recently considered that it would not be appropriate to continue to seek donations in competition with KHS for bursaries. It was therefore proposed that further invitations for donations to the CTF would cease. Awards for bursaries from the fund would continue to be made until the fund was exhausted. If donations continued to arrive, these would be accepted.

The KHA (formerly the Kingham Hill Old Boys Association, founded by the Founder's brother), is almost as old as the School itself. Historically we have been involved in organising events for ex-pupils and receiving and managing money donated by you, your families and friends of The Hill. Since 1986 donations have been managed by a legal charitable structure known as the Centenary Trust Fund (CTF) with the trustees appointed by the KHA Committee.
Last year the headmaster Nick Seward made the KHA Committee aware of the school's intention to begin managing all alumni communications, events and fundraising. This was described as something which should be within the remit of the school and that a new development officer would be appointed. Generally, this is becoming increasingly common across independent schools and colleges, and it does make sense in as much as more recent leavers have higher expectations of their alumni organisations, and increasingly these expectations are beyond that which can reasonably be met by a handful of volunteers in their spare time.

We in the KHA are often asked "What actually does KHA do for the school?"
Maybe the following will help answer part of that question, which is actual financial support via the CTF.
The Centenary Trust Fund (CTF) is the charitable fund the Kingham Hill Association (KHA) manage. The KHA was started by the Founder's brother when the school was 1 year old.
CTF funds are used to help pupils who have both a financial and boarding need and who would benefit by coming to Kingham Hill School, but without our funding be unable to do so. CTF funds are nearly all made up of donations from ex Pupils of Kingham Hill received in 1 off bequests or in regular smaller amounts by Standing Order. Monies received by the CTF are used to continue the mission of the Founder Baring Young.
Friday evening 16th March.
The annual event for the prestigious "Wojcek Gambaski Trophy" in memory of past KHA editor Peter Johansen, aka Yogi, was held in the school dining room commencing about 7 pm. A meal of chicken curry with naan bread was provided and the sixth form bar was open, see what you missed!.

Speech Day is Kingham Hill's big day. It's the last day of term; it is prizegiving & speeches, with The Hill at its best.
Parents & friends can see various work displayed, from the art room to flying model aeroplanes. For the second year, KHA (past pupils, staff, parents & friends) were invited to hold their annual summer reunion then.
We are delighted to offer for the first time on the KHSD website the most recent KHA Constitution, as rattified at the Annual general Meeting which was held on the 3rd of July 2010 at Kingham Hill School
