Prior to year 2000 numerous gifts were given to KHS via KHOBA. In the main these were personally funded and driven by Tom Smart former KHOBA president. These paid for the Stained glass windows and refurbishment of the school Chapel, overhaul of the Chapel organ, new communion set, refurbishment of the school hall, new hall staging and the refurbishment of the Young Memorial Library. Records of cost for this work are non-existent but are thought to have been in the region of £20k.
Following several wonderful bequests from Miss. Wilson, in memory of her father who had been a pupil on the Hill in the early 1900's and Harry Brisco an old boy and long time KHOBA committee member, plus many other donations, KHA has been in a position to give support to the school as detailed below.
As a guideline it was decided by the KHA committee that 20% of the available CTF monies should be made available each year for school support or as requested by the benefactors. Currently this is restricted to bursaries only.
All donations either large or small are welcome and of course can be gift aided if you are a current Tax payer.
Since Year 2000 the support to KHS has been as follows.
