KHS pupils enjoy ski trip to Obertauern

DR and JW thb In December, Kingham Hill teamed up with Magdalen College School, Oxford to go skiing in Obertauern, Austria.

Fifteen KHS students attended with Mr Webb and Mr Ritchie. All involved enjoyed a fabulous week, which included expert skiing tuition each day, luxurious accommodation and some brilliant evening activities. Notable highlights were a trip to the local water park (which had some unbelievable slides!) night skiing (where we clocked up speeds of over 100kmph!!), ten pin bowling and a quiz night.

It is also worth mentioning that Mr Ritchie comprehensively won the slalom event…! Above all new friendships were forged in one of the most stunning resorts and it was impossible not to marvel at God’s creation as we had the privilege of speeding around the mountains on skis. Our thanks must go to Mr Alan Cooper of MCS, who organised the trip. There will be another skiing trip at the same time next year for students in years 7-10.
